Create a nourishment menu

I hear it a lot, ladies turning to food for comfort, when they are stressed. More often than not, this is just a habit that needs to be broken. But to change this behaviour cycle, you need to replace it with another action that makes you feel good. This is where the idea of a nourishment menu comes in handy. I would encourage you to create your own. Things that you can turn to in times of stress, instead of food. For me, heading outside for a walk around the lawn, taking big deep breaths of fresh air, while throwing a ball for my puppy works wonders. It clears my head, and also takes my mind away from going to the pantry (when I’m not even hungry). Things like taking 3 deep breaths, having a big glass of water, or phoning a loved one to distract you may work for you. Or walking outside and smelling the flowers in your garden. Give it a try!
