Beef pattie lettuce burgers

Ingredients

  • 500g beef mince

  • 1 medium sized carrot, finely grated

  • 1 egg

  • 1 finely chopped onion

  • 1 C wholemeal bread crumbs

  • 1 clove crushed garlic

  • 1 Tbsp worcestershire sauce

  • 2 Tbsp mixed herbs

  • Salt and pepper

  • Wee bit of oil for frying the patties in

  • Burger toppings: Ice berg lettuce leaves for the “bun”, beetroot, tomato, avocado, cheddar cheese, onion rings, pineapple rings. Or anything you’d like to load it with!

     

Directions

Put all the burger pattie ingredients into a bowl and mix together well. Mould the burger patties into desired size and put them onto a plate. Heat frying pan with oil, cook patties until browned and then flip to cook other side. Put an iceberg lettuce leaf on a plate, then load in your burger pattie and whatever toppings you have. Put another iceberg leaf on the top to make the bun. Makes about 10 patties. Enjoy!
